Hey group, Got some boost Issues I was hoping someone else has ferreted out successfully in the past.

Last week my 92 900T was producing a healthy 16 PSI of boost with a Taper to about 15 PSI. I had actually turned down the screws in the APC box from a peak 20 PSI to preserve the 5 speed. Well I went & Autocrossed the car on Saturday here at Portland International Raceway. Being an Autocross, I never got out of 2nd gear so the Boost was never above 3 or 4 PSI, but to be Honest I wasn't looking at the gauge. -What fun!

Anyway, driving home from PIR I had no boost. I quickly tracked that down to the compression fitting on the back of the VDO boost gauge. I fixed that and also hooked up a LED to pin 19 in the APC box last night, as well as replacing the plugs cap & rotor leaving the 2 month old BougiCords in place.

That said, I am still not boosting over 10 PSI. The Knock LED lights up so there certainly is knock/detonation/pinging or whatever going on. I am confused because the Motor is in a great state of tune, and very quiet. It has Jak's Chip, 431 Red injectors, 3-bar FPR, 3" cat back exhaust, and the red box resistor kit with tweaked F & P Pots. I had the Valve cover off a few weeks ago and the timing chain looked new with very little slack. The upper guide was replaced then. The car uses no oil and the lifters are virtually silent. I can't imagine the Knock Detector picking up on much mechanical Engine noise.

Any suggestions on how to get my Boost back would be awesome. Does anyone know of any little nuances that sets off that knock detector? Rattles within the engine compartment etc?

Thanks all,

Seth
