+ 1, ic is a big part of safe power and more boost!
The basics to me are simple for making good power... "Let the Motor Breath" This means first we need to get more air in, more air out, but also we need cool dense air to keep the higher power safe.
CAI is important in my opinion, so get some cool dense air into the engine by means of a larger good flowing intake out of the engine bay and down low where the air is cooler and denser, then get the air out with a good flowing exhaust system with a high flow cat. Good air in and good air out, now address the air density by coming up with a good intercooler, this can be done by an air to air, an air to water or water/methonal injection and lastly even a small shot of nitrous, like a 25-35shot can work very well as a good chemical intercooler...
Those are the basics to building good safe power in my opinion.
Once these HW items are addressed, its now time to up the boost with some good sw and make some real power :-)
