SD chips, fuel cut??

so now once again my car is having issues, which i believe the car is responsible for and not the tuning, but i am under the impression that the SD fuel eprom removes fuel cut as well as adds fuel, and well, i still hit fuel cut in 4th or 5th gear around 2500RPMS, seems to be in cold weather. it hits at 20PSI.
could this be happening because the car is sensing knock, because it spikes around 20-22 in 3rd gear or so, then dropps to 14 really prematurely.. i always run 93, and i just changed the plugs, which were propperly gapped at .039. one of the plugs that came out was cracks, so i was hoping that was my issue, but i guess not..
any ideas, stuff to check, anything.
fuel filter is 6 months old, but will be replaced soon... dI seems to be fine... ohh and when it hitts fuel cut the tach seems to drop and the air fuel gauge shoots to the lean section if that helps any.
TIA
