Nick:

I was definitely not doubting any of your work since I have a number of your in house upgrades already on my convertible. These questions were more based on what was found racing at the track here in Monterey with other cars and stiffer bushings. I am actually very happy with the mods (installed today). Everything is flatter and crisper both in passing and in turns. The feel to the wheel is tighter and more predictable. I will put it through more paces when I can get on restricted track versus the local highways in the next few weeks.

You are correct on feel through the floor though at this point it is minimal. There is more rattle than before in the fifth bow and convertible tops stays and also in the roller bearings on the windows when driving on normal streets. But that makes sense given the trade off in firmness versus roll that existed before. It is not as if the roller bearings or fifth bow are strong points on the convertibles anyway.

This may also be partly due to the tracking to the right that has resulted but I will wait a few weeks for things to settle in before readjusting the alignment - too bad I cannot easily adjust caster.

Finally, as for the lube, I use moly lube on my mountain bikes with very good results. I actually came across Aqua Lube when working with heavy earthmoving equipment. My maintenance supervisor used it as a replacement for the moly and other lubes we had and it held up well not just in wet but also micro-sand conditions. Plus, after replacing the interestingly designed bushings today, the larger ones seem much more simply designed for what it being sought.
