Most tuners wouldn't touch a 7 year old car without a waiver.
Or at least an extensive diagnostic, like a compression and/or bleed-down test.
I don't think Dinan would do my M3 anymore (51K miles and 2003) if I wanted their supercharger/intercooler trick to 493 hp. And they sure wouldn't warranty it like OEM BMW to 50K/4 years.
Time to rethink the business model? I'm not saying the guy knew the engine/piston was bad, but...
