Most tuners and t5 suite people use a header on the ecu itself to connect the pc computer to the ecu, but some of the bigger companies have the ability to connect to the ecu and flash through the obd1 and 2 port. Maptun and sqr have this ability.
T5 suite is working on the cable to be able to do this, but it is easier in my opinion to just use the header.
T5 suite is also working on a can bus that will allow connection to the ecu while driving and the car running so that road tunning will be possible. This would be a big help to cutting down the time to make changes in the ecu.
Now you have to drive the car, monitor parameters, pull ecu back out of car, put on desk top and make bin file changes, re-flash the board and then plug it back in the car and then drive it and check results...
