I just bought a 1998 9000 CSE with 120k from the original owner. Its my 8th Saab and definitely like it the best out of the others I have owned. Like all my Saabs the manual trans could use some improvements. I was looking to get the Saab Savior Short Throw Shifter. I posted this message on the 9k board with little response I probably should have posted here. My question is I have been reading some mixed reviews on the Saab Savior short throw shifter. It seams some complaints are stiff shifting and the rod coupler hits the side of the housing and the shift pattern seams to be slightly off. Then on the other end I see people that absolutely love it. I saw some posts that indicated you lose the reverse lock out and on the Saab Savior site it shows that the reverse lockout is retained. Does anyone know if the current version is an upgraded retro to the one some users report the negatives I have read about. I would really like to tighten up the shifting I was considering changing all the mounts to polyurethane while I am at it. Any thoughts are appreciated. Thanks Louis
