Kevin, I flubbed the question. I understand the diff between the two. I was implying that Saab underates their motors. What I was getting at was that even though torque peaks at a lower RPM than HP, it only (in most cases) tapers off a little. For example, the stock 2.3 in my 91 9KT has 244ft.lbs. at 2000, I haven't seen a graph but I'll bet it still has 220-30 at 5250 where the graphs cross. Logic would have it then that the motor is producing 220 to 230hp? By comparison a 200hp Camry doesn't stand a chance. Take a 225HP Aero and free up the exhaust and air and change the ECU and you get 275HP. So with 255ftlbs, it probably allready has almost 250HP and the mods are netting a 10% increase. Or like Wassab and others who against most recomendations put 30lb injectors in their modified mouse motors and they work great. Well basing the output on the torque level, 190, the mods are netting 10-15%, and math for 30lb comes out fine, esp if you use .60 BSFC. Am I making sense yet?
