I had the same issue with my 2002 V70XC, pads seperated from the backing--twice. What a screwed up setup that is.
Jak, hope everyone's OK. My son took a ride in my old Toyota pickup backwards down our long steep driveway when he was about three. My wife was unloading groceries and forgot to set the e-brake. He got up behind the wheel to pretend he was driving and knocked the shifter out of gear. He was actually standing on the seat pretending to steer as we watched in horror running frantically after him. He t-boned my neighbor's old Chevy pickup acrosss the street and fell back on the seat. When we got to him he was laughing hysterically. That was the first of his livin'-on-the-edge escapades. He's 18 now and the reason for my grey hairs. ;-)
