Keep in mind with the STI that your 4s 0-60 run comes at the expense of a 5000 or 6000rpm clutch drop. The FWD Saab simply doesn't have that same level of traction, so the launch required to hit factory-quoted 0-60 times isn't nearly so violent.

Also, Saab has always gone to great lengths to give their cars very strong midrange - the entire concept of Trionic includes making the fattest power band possible on a turbocharged engine. Japanese cars in general are simply not designed to work that way - they're tuned for higher RPM performance.

Honestly, I'd expect your Aero to be far more tractable in daily driving, but I'd say there's little doubt the STI would demolish it in more or less any circumstance when driven hard...

As for 0-60 times in a tuned Saab on street tires, I think you'd be hard pressed to do much better than 6s - there simply isn't the traction to go much quicker. Once they get rolling it's a different matter entirely...
