Hi Simon,

correct. Let me put the info into a different form.

The car is a 02 9-5LPT with a TD04HL15

It works fine when engine is cold
When warm, and the temperature is around 60 or so, the acceleration below 2500 rpm is almost no existent (timing modified ?); however, past 2500rpm, the acceleration is as if everything was working fine.
So what I've done so far:
*Checked all vacuum hoses (all are less than a year old)
*Checked for leaks around the intake pipe (pre and post intercooler): none
*Checked the BPV : fine i.e. holds vacuum; it's about 18 month old
*Checked the "trigger" to the BPV - fine: creates vacuum on deceleration to allow return to intake pipe, no vacumm on acceleration
*Replaced the DIC with another unit (both are less than 2 year old) - no change
*Replaced the plugs with the std NGK - no change
*Removed then plugged the top Boost Control hose - no change
*Removed the wastegate hose - no change (need to try by connecting the wastegate directly to the turbo though
*Replaced the coolant and Charge sensors with new units-no change

All these mods have been made and tested one at a time.

so what's left - O2 sensor (?) - since I assume closed loop is reached when the temp is high enough (i.e. fits the temp related nature of the problem)
possibly bad turbo - but why would it work at higher rpms though ? I would think a binding turbo would be sluggish at all times

Anyway, I'm rather stuck right now....
