I’m putting a new clutch (and all the hydraulics - master, slave, and stainless hose) in my 1992 9000Turbo (only a stage 1 chip, TD04 and 3” downpipe – so far) and from all my research it seems like the Spec Stage2 or Stage2+ would be the right choice for me.

Can anyone recommend sources?

I looked at GenuineSaab for the clutch, but they only list it for the 94 – ‘98 9000’s. I also tried calling but couldn’t get Nick so I’m hoping he’ll answer here. If I can’t get a Spec set up I’ll have to look for the Sach’s PP and see if that’s available for the ’92 (if my German is OK I think it’s 883082 999785) but didn’t want to have to spend so much.

How about the Braided Stainless hose? Any sources? Any idea of the price range?

I’m planning on the Genuine Saab slave cylinder from eEuro – but I need to get it out and match it to the pictures because I can’t find the tranny ID number (any clues for the ‘92?) and there was a mid-year change.

For the master cylinder, I guess I need to go to Saab or try the FTE one that eEuro sells. I’ve had bad experiences (luck?) with Scan Tech master cylinders – one in my 900TC had the clevis break off the shaft after six months and the previous one on this 9000 lasted less than 3 years. I’m hoping all new (and genuine) parts along with fresh fluid will give the new one a much longer life – like the 14 years I got out of the original one. It’s $200 from Saab and the FTE is $150 from eEuro.

I know most of you are in the later model 9000’s, but would appreciate any help.

Thanks,
92Scarab
