The Aero turbo - TD04 15T works fine with some adds Posted by couch tour [Email] (#187) [Profile/Gallery] (more from couch tour) on Tue, 24 Nov 2009 12:46:44 In Reply to: Rebuilding 1999 2.3lpt 9-5 turbo shot..upgrade advice>?, LUKE, Sat, 14 Nov 2009 20:31:13 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I put the Aero turbo in my 2000 lpt 9-5. I needed to replace the oil lines and I believe one of the coolant lines. It's easy to figure out what's different by simply looking up the parts for both models. I did not do any other changes. It's been totally fine for about 20k miles.
The 9-5 lpt has everything in it (APC, etc), so no problem there. You can upgrade to an Aero computer too, but you'll have to get it married to your car. I've been meaning to do this but haven't bothered since I really just changed to turbo for reliability reasons more so than performance.
