Hi Drew, the bearings we used in your engine are the Vandervell "P" Series (VP2 Tri-metal), these are the bearings that Clevite went to years ago! They compensate for rod bore distortion at the higher RPM,s as they have more eccentricity and a higher crush factor. In other words they don't pinch in and remove the critical film of oil (the wedge effect) that actually lubricates the journal! The aluminum-based two-layer bearings like a B234 uses do work but that engine doesn't have the high reciprocating mass that your C-900 has with it's heavier rods and pistons! I'll be faced with the same issue as Samsaab as I'll be doing a performance Viggen shortly so I'll probably just modify a set of our earlier Vandervell "P" bearings to fit! Take care, Dave
