Thanx for the reply!
Unfortunately, i don't believe i can blow the pistons out with piece of wood. I guess that you mean that i should put a piece of wood between pistons and then press them out a bit one by one until i can remove them by hand.
Theese Brembo-calipers are made from three pieces, in the middle there is holding-assembly, then there are one detachable aluminium piece on each side with two pistons in each one.
So there are two ways to go:
First: spreading the pistons, unbolting whole caliper-assy and taking out whole thing, then pressing out pistons as you said with brake-line still attached. But i'm afraid it's going to be hard to spread them...pistons are not in good shape (that's why i'm doing restoration) and pads are bedded-in so i have to spread pretty far.
or:
Deattaching brake-lines, unbolting piston-assy on both sides of caliper and going home with two pieces /w two pistons in each wondering how to pull out the little bastards.
Hmm...i guess it's gonna be more complicated than my SAAB's Girling calipers :) Oh well...
