As long as there is enough material left on the rotor and still above minimum allowed thickness after the cut, it is no problem machining a slotted or drilled rotor if you are planning to replace the pads.
If you are not replacing the pads at this time, you don't have to do anything since that ridge does not pose any negative effects on the brakes.
