My thoughts on Air Intake

Ive always had the idea to piviot the intercooler 90 degrees to horizontal next to the intake manifold and run the intake down where the intercooler was. The only things that need to be changed is the dashpot needs to be moved 90 degrees cw if looking across car from left fender. A new dashpot bracket would have to be made and the actuator would have to be drilled to rotate on the throttle body "axle?". The hood then would have to be cut out above the intercooler and i thought that a reverse scoop like the one on the center of a Mitsu. Evolution hood would work well. The air would flow from the front of the car into and past the intake, then continue up and out the top of the hood through the intercooler. I already played around with the set up and got everything to fit very well except i didnt want to cut a hole in my hood and i didnt have the new intake needed.
