Principle: Book value doesn't truly reflect the higher value of the SPG and Aero to the true market, the Saab collectors (ie, Saab performance fanatics).
Corollary: Never, ever let an insurance company force book value down your throat for an SPG claim; find a Saab specialty shop (like Andrews of Princeton, MN) who know Saabs and the particular market niche of the SPG/Aero. Don Andrews told the insurance adjuster to throw the book away when it came to valuing an SPG, but it takes recognized expertise in the field to make that stick.
Good luck on your purchase.
