I have a 87 & 88 SPG ><,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, (dam cat :o)
Anyways, my 87 SPG has OEM springs, OEM 15 in rims with worn out P6000's & 120K mile old KYB shocks.
My 88 has new Intrax springs, Koni adjustables & I tried 18x7 rims. The front was dropped enough to finally make the car sit flat & I don't beleive the back dropped at all, if it did it was a little bit :o)
My 88 rides a lot better with the new suspension & after spending 2 days at a track event, I was extremely pleased with how the car performed. Even the instructor was impressed with how well the car did. If you have ever heard of Dayton Wire wheels, the owner of that company was my instructor & his son owns Forgeline, the wheels I have.
Anyways, I plan on getting new springs/shocks for my 87 SPG as well & am unsure of whose springs to use. The intrax springs are extremely comfortable on all roads but I was thinking I want something stiffer so I can do better in the solo II stuff as well as track events
88 SPG pretty much stock, for now
87 SPG sick, very sick
lots of go fast stuff in the garage though :o(
