Labview sells a laptop pc card and adapter that allows you to read many different engine signals. YOu set the software up to give you converted values and to record data to text files. The problem?? I looked today to find out the pc card and connector box run about $800. THey also sell one for thermocouples which would be great to do intake temps, like before/after installing bigger intercooler. THis project will have to wait until I finish school. The wind tunnel I'm working at uses customized labview for recording car test data so I know what it can do.
