Although I know very little about intercoolers (being a Saab 99 owner!!) I do know that larger intercoolers are not always better. Very large intercoolers will reduce the responsiveness of the engine (turbo lag). This is becuase it takes time for the Turbo to pressurise the large volme of air inside the IC.I doubt a viggen IC will cause this but it is something to keep in mind.
You could try improving the effectivness of the stock system by running a IC water spray and improving airflow to the IC.
Also ICs are of most benefit when running high boost, hence as Dean suggested you are probably best keeping the stock IC until you are ready to play with high boost.
