cheap ss systems are usually unfinished and have little extras (nice tip, ss welds, etc.) They are also usually a clamp together system which means you can put it on once and pray that you don't need to remove it. SPG9 and Swedish Dynamics have flanged systems that will allow you to remove/realign the system without damaging it.
Larger systems 3" and 4" systems are usually a waste of time and will only vibrate on the frame since they are so close. I had a 3" system that I finally teared out of the car because it hummed a tune every time I took a right turn.It would also pop and backfire everytime I came down from full boost. Replaced it with the SD system and it was everything they claimed. Put the old 3" system on my wifes daily driver since she doesn't seem to notice the popping and banging!
