"not responsible for damage to rims" I saw the same sign after the idiot raked the machine over the lip of not one.. but two of my spg rims. THose tire machines have a piece that comes down to separate the bead from (or force the new one on) the rim. It is supposed to be locked in place while the motor turns the wheel. The brake mechanism was loose which allowed the piece to jump up and gouge the rim. I didn't notice it until the second rim. I pretty much told the guy to step out of the way. I was so pissed I could've beat him with a used tire! He obviously knew the machine was screwing up rims but planned on damaging all four. I ended up tightening the brake mechanism up myself. A simple loose nut situation! SOme of these guys are working at tire places 'cause they got fired from every other job in town. Why did I go to that place? I went to my usual shop to spin balance my old tires a couple months before. I had to wait about 10 minutes because the guys were "at lunch". Well, after 15 minutes the two guys came out. I had never smelled marijuana odor so strong! I am not kidding. I won't say the company name since it might get me sued.
