Anyway, Primium is NOT the same everywhere. I can get 93 oct here in Va. and sometimes 94 at places like Sunoco. 91 is middle grade around here.

Octane BYW has nothing to do with how well the fuel burns, but rather how well it avoids detonation (pinking, pinging, or knocking...). The higher the octane reading, the better it can avoid this. If you go with a lower octane you need to lower compression or boost, hence the APC function...

With higher altitude, thus lower ambient air pressure, compression would naturally go down. Higher octane would have no effect. Rather, the turbo has the potential to increase boost to compensate for the lower ambient pressure. The version 7 of the Trionic ECU does this, so you'll have an advantabe. I have a T-5, so while I'll still have boost, I probably will not maintain the same levels of torque as you will in your 9-5 -- especially with the Aero trim.
