My Uncle did this on his old Kawasaki Z1R motorcycle 900cc. If your going to try this you have to use an older unit that has cast iron body they use bearings instead of bushing like most of the aluminum body jobs do. He ran about 5psi which he said gave a pretty good kick, he tried 8psi but his plexyglass air housing would not stay together. I could not tell you what rpm ratio he ran, I do know he had pulleys that came off the crank.
P.S. Not cheap to have a piece welded on the end of your crank that would spin true and then balanced the crank. He had a friend hook him up, the huy has a crank welding machine.
