I can give this a try since I built it :)
The body of the mount is 6000 series Al .5" thick. It is CNC milled to shape then anodized for corrosion resistance.
The "ears" bolt the the stock frame mount just as the Saab mount does. The tranny mount consists of a polyurethane donut in the center, and silicone rubber pads top and bottom. Finally a through-bolt holds it all together. There is no metal-to-metal contact, so I never call it a "solid" mount. The vibration at idle [in my opinion] is nothing to worry about, just something to be aware of in advance. Like Cliff said, I don't notice it anymore - although I do notice that every shift *clicks* right in now and the drivetrain whiplash is significantly reduced.
