Before spending money on a fixed fuel pressure regulator (FPR), consider your ultimate goals. If targeting 200 hp or higher, or if additional modification phases are likely as you once again seek the rush of additional hp (you know how you are!), I strongly recommend you bite the bullet and go for the rising rate fuel pressure regulator (RRFPR) rather than the fixed rate.

The breaking point may be if you upgrade to higher flow injectors.

Trust me. I got a great price on the 3.0 FPR from John at the Saab Savior, but now regret not getting the better unit. Since I'll end up doing so anyway, that "great price" will become an unnecessary additional expense along the way.

Take your time, search old posts (Monster had some great ones last fall, and I got some great feedback to a "Sweet Road Racer" post last summer). Then go for it. Good luck, and post your observations.

(PS: whatever you budget, and whatever HP objectives you set, realize you'll probably want more later on.)

Modestly modified: rewired APC, 3.0 FPR, open K&N, sport exhaust & SPG9 AID so far, with visions of RRFPR and 24 lb injectors dancing in my head. (Never liked sugar plum fairies all that much anyway.)
