my mechanic's car actually.
his setup:
Abbott ECU at 1.5bar (22.5psi)
ported&polished head
larger exhaust valves
full Abbott exhaust
Viggen I/C
cone air filter
my setup (9-3):
Maptun ECU
T25/28 turbo
3" exhaust
Viggen I/C
K&N filter element
since he has an LSD, rolling start in second gear around 3000rpms.
We both floor it, his turbo spools and he starts getting ahead. By the time mine had spooled I was already next to his rear wheel. As soon as I got boost, no difference in acceleration untill 5700rpms when I started gaining on him visibly. Approached traffic right after shift to third.
On the second run he was behind me. Floored second gear and he got right up to my bumper. Gained about 1/3 of a car length at high rpms. Shift to third, difference remains the same, I started widening the gap as the rpms passed 5000; we then had to brake again.
I think that had we shifted to fourth the difference would be quite noticable. However he would have managed to get quite a lead from a standing start...
As you can probably see, I'm doing my best to test out the new goodies I put on my car : )
