It's like saying Samsung sucks cuz korean cars suck
But anyways. Kumho Ecsta Supras are a really good all around tire. So if you want a good tire for rain or shine, these are the way to go. They give a lot of performance for a good price. Although the Ecsta is a "summer" tire, it gives much better performance in rain then many other "summer" tires.
Basically what it comes down to is a tire for real road driving or track driving. Of course, all tire companies have their not so good tires and they're more higher performing tires. But I'd say the Kumho is more an all around tire including comfort.
The Kumho theoretically lasts longer but performs just a little bit less (don't think you can really see that much of a difference). The Sumitro has a bit better performance in dry weather but less perforance in wet terrain against the Kumho. I think more people would go with the Kumhos cuz they last longer, cheaper and basically perform the same as the Sumi's.
