1. Test fit where the mounting cut goes and mark it on the a-pillar facia/covering
2. remove the a-pillar facia -- easy to do, there are two or three "buttons" holding it to the metal frame. If you ruin the buttons, you can easily replace.
3. mount the gauge temporarily on the facia OUTSIDE of the car.
4. If you can replace the a-pillar facia with the gauge already mounted, all well and good, if not, well you already have the holes tapped and you should be good to go.
