Another cheap C900 mod :o)

After looking at Rauls site (very good btw!) I decided to have a look at my own throttle body.
On inspection I noticed that there was
1: a larger 2 mm reducing step going past the throttle body
2: One of the pipes on the throttle body actually protrudes into the throttle body itself.
Both of these problems cannot be good for airflow considering the speed at which air is rushing through under boost!
Raul got rid of this step by removing it completely and fitting a larger buuterfly. however I didn't have the tools to hand to do this, so I chamfered the edge of the step.
I then set about grinding away the pipe that protruded into the throttle body. The grinding took me about two hours to get near perfect.
I was dubvious as to whether this would have any effect at all, but after a test run was very pleased with the results! The engine was noticably less strangled at the top end, and was suprised several times by my rev limiter!
So all in all, a good (virtually FREE!) mod in my humble opinion, and would highly recommend it if you have a few hours to kill, and some grinding tools.
