Hmmmm...to be honest, my best recommendation if you want to go fast and like the body style? Consolidate your cars, and shop for a nice 78 99 Turbo. GREAT cars, and a lot easier to go fast in than hopping up an EMS to equal the performance.
For your EMS, probably a 2.25-2.5 inch exhaust system will be the first place to start, a hotter cam (custom), some kind of cold ram air intake that you'll have to devise, those will be good places to start. your fuel injection will keep up for awhile, but again, you'll go faster for less money with a turbo car. If you want a nice responsive NA engine with strong midrange, an EMS is a great car, but not a race car, and it would take a looooot of dollars to make it one. But, try the exhaust and maybe the cam, i think you'll be pretty stoked on how much it wakes it up!
To be honest, although the EMS is a little bit hopped up, it's not a racer
