While I haven't done the 9000 IC mod, I did have a Starion FMIC at one point. What I did was tilt the rad back and move it down a bit, then had the IC pipes poke over the rad. It worked okay, but then the clearances were too tight and it was a pain in the ass to service the front end stuff, namely clutch. It also rubbed a hole in my rad, so I went back to stock.

For a 9000 IC, and I know some guys who've done it, you need to cut away the two tow hooks on the rad support. Removal of the AC will help too. For pipes, I'd have your exhaust shop do them, but do specify mandrel bends. In a pince, you could use and/or chop up factory pipes. I also found that early 900s, like '79-'80, had aluminum gas tank pipes, from the filler cap to the tank. Nicely bent, could be useful in some custom plumbing.
