Could anyone help,

I have read Raul's primary gear change mod and would like to do a change myself.

The box on my '91 900 T16 revs really high (2000rpm = 44 mph in 5th! its a replacement - I think from an LPT).

I have a donor box with 32 / 25 gears - I guess this must be a higher ratio than what I'm currently running.

The thing is - once the primary gearing casing cover is off is off how do you remove the gears??

1) I think the larger top gear is retained by a circlip which seems simple enough - the real problem is the bottom gear held by a nut - how do 1 stop it rotating when I undo it - I thought maybe a custom tool or something on the top gear to hold tight??

2) when replacing the gears what torque does the bottom nut need to be tightened to??

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
