I think any gains I made were marginal at best. What I didn't have time to do was to seal off the IC, with appropriate ducting, to make it more effective. It kind of just sat there.

The rad died last January, and I didn't have time to muck about with yet another IC setup in my unheated garage plus during the school year. So going back to the stock IC was my best and easiest choice. As I said, I was also a bit disappointed with the accessibility to the clutch and such. I didn't know enough about the car at the time. However, many Swedes and Finns have done similar FMICs with much success. I think I may follow Luke and Seth's path with the 9000 IC up front; Luke's custom end tanks look appealing! Another thing I didn't do was empirical testing before and after with the FMIC. Next time...
