I have a K&N drop-in air filter. I have modified the stock air-filter housing to allow more air to flow.
I installed a 2.5 in. Saber stainless steel cat-back exhaust system.
Have a 20 psi Bosch turbo bypass valve.
I also installed a Abbott upgraded ECU.
On a dyno, my motor now produces 258 lb-ft of torque verses a stock 217. It also produces 218 Hp
at the drive wheels. This is equivalent to about 255 Hp at the motor.

If I were to do the ECU again, I would look into a Swedish tuners product that leaves the base boost
at stock levels instead of Abbotts method of raising the base boost.

As you probably know, Saab limits the power in an auto equiped car to longevity to the transmission.
If you modify the ECU, you have to realize that the life of the transmission will probably be comprimised.
I try to take it easy on the transmission by avoiding full throttle up-shifts or downshifts and by changing the
ATF frequently.

The results of the mods has transformed the car. It is definately worth it
