Hmm...dunno about "wire counts", I picked the stuff that they had that looked like it would work. It was just about the only stuff that had a small enough mesh. It was indeed aluminum though, and came in a raw looking state - silver. I sprayed it with some chrome paint once, but that didn't really change the look much. The aluminum doesn't rust anyway, so that's cool. I see that the riceboy company APC (clear corners, cheap ass swawy bars, etc) is now selling kits of mesh, dunno if it's stainless or what. For reference though, I paid about C$50 for the mesh, and it was a HUGE sheet, like 6x10. I was quoted I think over C$100 for a sheet of some German sourced mesh, Folia Tech I think it was.
