My buddy just got a 98 328 5spd. Being the generous soul that he is, he tossed me the keys in hopes that i would flog it and give him my
opinion. Well, I drove it back to back with my basically stock 5spd 9KT. My first impression was that the 328 was tiny, but then I realized it
just kind of fit like a glove( It reminded me of my spg ) a VERY nice leather glove. And I found that the 9kt was not only faster, but handled
much better (he agreed after back to back rides) the 328 was supposed to have the sport package although it didn't feel that way to me. It did
have nice smooth and even power delivery, amazingly light and easily controls (clutch was as light as a toyota corolla but held well) turn in was
fierce but followed with body roll, that was scary when combined with a certain floatyness of the suspension ( yeah that's right I'm calling a
bmw floaty) It was very satisfying to outperform a car that costed 3 times as mcuhas mine used to used, but where can I find a source for
upgrades? i want to get him an intake, an exhaust, a chip and some coil overs, even though he'll probably smoke me if I do, where can I go
that's not expensive like dinan?
Thanks Chad
