The NG900's and 9-3's use speed density air for air fuel mixture control. So there is no issue with air loss affecting readings. And, FYI, the boost control valve BCP, is a bleeder valve, that happens to be solenoid controlled. And the air losses are to small to matter anyways.
What you propose will be a waste of time. Just tighten up the wastegate actuator a bit and see how you like it. A small change should make the urbo more responsive. It sounds like you have a low pressure turbo, with a BCP valve. If this is the case, this will not change the terminal pressure, as the feedback loop will still be in control. There have been reports of improved responsiveness with one or two turns. But you are pioneering this one, so take it one turn at a time.
What country/market is this model sold in?
95SET, 15 PSI external controller
