I continue to be amazed at how well the M3 corners. It's really deceiving how much speed you can actually carry through a corner. Mine is set up "safe" so it understeers a bit when the traction control is on - which makes saving an accidental slide very easy. The real fun is shutting the ASC off and then power sliding the car - getting the rear end out and steering via throttle modulation. Something you can't do in an SPG or Viggen unless you want to try handbrake slides, which do wonder for treadlife.
I drove the Viggen before buying the M3 and was really disappointed with the chassis inability to deal with the torque. I could't get hard on the boost in the twisties with out scary wheel spin and an understeer slide. I was also unhappy with how mushy the gear shift was - vibrated way to much and was kind of vague.
I do miss the utility of the SPG/Viggen configuration. I shure don't windsuf out of my bimmer !
