Hello Nathan
Jamex no longer exist as a manufacturer in the UK. Gmax was formed from the company's ashes and offers identical springs (the springs are made by the same people, on the same machines to the same spec as Jamex were, the only difference being the badging on the springs and box).
I suspect that the Australian Jamex springs are either rebadged Gmax or someone 'downunder' has bought the rights to remanufacture or use the name.
I have Jamex 910s on my 99 turbo and having compared this to a customer's 99 turbo fitted with the Gmax springs and can confirm that they are identical. We are not in the habit of misleading customers.
I agree that the Gmax name is crap, but if you think that's bad you should see some of their advertising literature!!! (Unfortunately the biggest market for lowering springs, performance air filters etc. here in the UK is the teenage to early twenties 'boy racer', modifying cheap hatchbacks with little regard for actual handling or performance improvements, providing that 'it looks good, innit'.)
Hope this is some help to you - Gmax = Jamex.
Regards,
Julian
