Eric and Jim don't believe me, but... while racing, I somehow manage to look at all of my gauges! For some stupid reason, I have a tendency now to look first at my VDO boost gauge (sits in the upper radio slot) and then to the factory in-dash gauge.
The numbers I listed before are based on my personal experience in my car, watching a real gauge and the color gauge in the dash.
I would not modify a car without extra gauges in place. My extra VDO oil pressure gauge saved my engine from total meltdown not too long ago. Extra gauges are must have items.
