I've talked with Johnny at Maptun about high octane fuel before, and he reckons that every 2-3 points on the octane scale is worth about 10 bhp, with the right software. I usually run 94 Sunoco in my 9000 LPT, and there is definitely a difference in performance over lower octanes. There is also an improvement in mileage with 94 versus 93. On one occasion I added a bottle of octane booster which claims to increase octane by 3-6 points... I think 3 is closer to correct, but it definitely made a slight difference, it may make a bigger difference with an Aero. Unless you don't plan to keep the car very long, an ECU upgrade should work out much less expensive in the long run, when you consider the cost of racing fuel...
