...once. It was the 3" in/out "high flow" catalytic convertor. Don't be fooled, there is no special technology in there, random or not. There is nothing in there that is specific to high performance or racing (besides the larger flanges that you specify).
I was told by my installation shop "guru" that there are only 2-3 manufacturers of the catalytic convertor cores in the US, and they don't market to consumers. So R.T. and several other companies all buy the same cores, wrap them in the same tin cans, and put their $$$ sticker on them. Mine cost close to $280 if I remember correctly, and I could have sourced [the same] one from any muffler shop for less. In fact I have a generic one now, because the RT one burned out after my LH2.2 went full rich and basically cooked the thing (couldn't pass CA smog test).
PS the R.T. sticker burns off on the first heat cycle. So stupid!
