I am glad to see your 1/4 mile results! They are up to par w/some of the more popular magazines.

Did you have problems with excessive tire spin? What RPM were you at during launch?

The reason I ask is that it seems that our Viggens don't seem to have the most favorable 0-60 and 1/4 mile times as compared to the likes of:
1.Acura TL&CL Type S
2.BMW 330 CI
3.Audi S4
4.Subaru WRX
etc.

I have driven the BMW and Acura and found that the power delivery is smoother than the Viggen's though, not as impressive. It appears to me that from a rolling start, say 25 mph in 2nd gear, the Viggen launches with a rush of sustainable power. The others are quick, though do not
seem to impose the same force. Bottom line, the Viggen feels( and I believe is) faster from a rolling start. Can anyone support this?

My theory is that the Viggen suffers from poor tire contact at launch and loses a few tenth's of a second , if not more. If the Viggen did not possess the woes of a high torque, front driver, is it conceivable that the 0-60 and 1/4 mile times would be significantly better?

In my opinion, the Viggen is a very quick car in stock form and the true acceleration capabilities are shadowed by its inability to make good contact during launch from a stand still. It is faster than the magazines say it is. Would anybody disagree?
