I have pondered this operation myself a few times and not come up with anything substantial. From a fuel injection standpoint, there should be little to no difference between a turbo and a non-turbo. The ECU itself can remain the same, but I believe you will want both the injectors and the fuel distributor from a turbo car, or you'll be running lean.
The thing to remember, however, is that the turbo cars ran lower compression than the non-turbos - 8.5:1 vs. 9.25:1. That said, the new 16v turbo cars (at least the 2.3 cars) run 9.25:1 compression, and even the older DOHC 2.0l cars ran 9:1. With that in mind, running a turbo on a no-turbo 8v engine with proper intercooling and fuel supply may not be that much of a problem. HOWEVER, do keep in mind the piston material on turbos vs. non-turbos *is* different* and may not stand up to a ton of abuse.
Ultimately, my advice would be forget the idea of turboing your car and just swap in a turbo 8v motor. Doing so would be a piece of cake (literally an engine swap with just a little wiring - six of 'em, to be specific) and call it a day. You'll get a lower-mileage motor and probably a more reliable package. Just my $0.02...
