I pulled my vacuum capsule and replaced the fixed stop with an externaly adjustable one. I then set the basic timing to 20 deg BTDC and adjusted the stop to give me 10 deg BTDC at 0.8bar onwards.
The 'map' as I measured it is as follows (in bars);
0.1 - 20deg
0.2 - 20deg
0.3 -18deg
0.4 - 15.5 deg
0.6 - 12 deg
0.7 - 11 deg
0.8 - 10 deg - max retard
Off-boost performance seems a bit better and I still get 1/3 to 1/4 in the red. Anybody see any problems with running this much advance at off and partial boost?
I will wait to see what it does to fuel consumption.
