I took the Flight Academy about six weeks ago. I found the class to be educational and fun. However, I do not believe the class is worth the extra $1000 (I think) it would cost.
Here is a rundown of what was covered:
First day:
Class room in AM followed by skidpad, road course and braking exercises.
Second day:
Class room in AM followed by variations of the above.
Be aware that this is a very basic driving course. Nothing to do with racing only to help you understand your car. I do think however that everyone would benefit from the wet skidpad exercise. In this exercise you go around a 200 foot skidpad (with a sprinkler constantly wetting the area) and the instructor pulls the emergency brake up to make the car oversteer. It is great fun because the car goes around in circles until you can control the skid to prevent it.
I won't ruin it for you with too many details but I do think you will enjoy it. If you have any more questions let me know.
Julian
