I forgot about this little device. Somebody tried to tell me how to modify the existing distributor vacuum advance to work better before, but I'm not sure if I understood him right. $195 seems like a lot of money, but then again, I presume it's a drop in replacement for any 16V 2.0l turbo engine? What's the deal with black and red? Just different color options, or does one provide higher performance than the other (I'd think the former, given the lack of price difference).
How much boost would you say a person needs to be pushing to require one of these AID devices (or a BTM or other similar boost timing controller)? Or do these things help no matter what boost you're running? I expect some day I may get up to 15 psi or so (Stage 1 spg9 apc and 2.8 bar fpr), but not looking for crazy 20+ psi. :)
Cheers,
Aaron
