I have an '89 non DI with remote APC under driver's seat. Can I wire in an LED between pin 19 and ground to get a red-line LED blinking in my face when she's reporting knock? I always thought it would be nice to "see" any knock as it occurs. I was on the internet at a Tweak You APC site and they brought this subject up with a rough schematic photo. I am not an electrician, but will not hesitate doing this project if it is really as easy as going down to RadioShack and buying an LED and some thin wire to loop this system up to the dash somewhere so I can monitor knock.
If anyone has done this or knows this concept to be relevant- please reply with details. I think it would be difficult with DI Trionic system. Thanks
